As per the Canadian immigration and Visa laws, Provincial Nominee Immigration program allows province to nominate individuals for a permanent Canadian Visa on mutual benefit terms.

Canada is a combination of federal and French-speaking Quebec governments. The federal section of Canada further comprises of different provinces which together make up the entire Federal section of Canada. These provinces have independent governments and independent jurisdiction.

The Provincial Nominee Program is among the many immigration programs offered by the Canadian immigration wing. The program is instrumental in enabling provinces to nominate certain individuals on the grounds of economic prospects and competency and the eligibility of the candidate.

The program was introduced to help individuals to go through a governmental channel for filing their immigration application. The program allows individuals to enlist their skills, education and work experience required to make an immediate economic contribution to a particular province chosen by the applicant.

In order to apply under the Provincial Nominee Program, an individual needs to apply to the province for a Canadian Visa. Only through the province, the provincial nomination program will be complete for the individual.

The second league of the program requires acceptance and clearance of the immigration application of the individual by the particular province. The provincial authorities can either reject or accept an immigration application based on the fulfillment of certain criteria. The criteria depend on the immigration needs of that province and the genuineness of the intention of the application towards permanent settlement in that province.

The last league involves nomination of the individual from the province’s end. Once, the province nominated the individual for a Canadian Visa, the individual is required to present the immigration application to Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) for final approval.
